
Thapelo Tselapedi used to be a researcher for a socio-economic rights organisation, a public interest outfit. But after a stint there, he went on to become a university lecturer; initially at the University of Johannesburg, he now teaches political theory at Rhodes University. He is currently working on his PhD focusing on International Political Economy (IPE). Thapelo also provides political commentary on a number of media outlets concerning South African politics. And he has written a number of articles on public debates, ranging from research reports, newspaper and blog articles, and academic papers. Finally, he is a board member on The Legal Advisory and Information Centre, a public interest law clinic based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Publications
Thapelo is dedicated to scholarly discourse, political activism and and the development of African knowledge systems. To this effect, he has been involved in numerous scholarly writing and research projects.
